I won't lie,
I won't sin,
Maybe I don't want to go,
Can't you wait?
Maybe I don't want to go.
-Letters To God by Box Car Racer
So, it was raining the other day and I had music on my ipod on shuffle and this song came on. I looked out the window at the rain and decided to get this shot. The letters are actually my journal entries from March and April of 2004.
I know this is a lot different from anything I've done but I hope you understand that this means a lot to me. Comments are welcome as always.
i love writing letters. It feel like every letter is alive. They all have a story to tell that they're hiding in the depths of the rought paper. This image makes a huge impact on you not only because of the image itself but because of the title too. I remember a line I once wrote: As I sit here writing a letter to the skies I write down everything that's good in the world. A wonderful image that tels a lovely story. However I with it was a bit bigger and it does seem a bit pixelated.
I really love the composition of this, and the fact that you used real pages from your journal not only makes it that much more awesome, but more appreciated as well. It's like, sure... you could have used anything, but to really solidify what's going on, it just makes it more perfect to have used real entries.
Isn't it awesome how sometimes the most impromptu of shots and ideas really come full circle to being a truly awesome piece of art?
It's like, those were my jornals, my cries for help, my bad times written down there, and I meant to send them, but, the got cast aside... they're in a puddle (hard to see..) and the flowers arte supposed to signify the fact that they were for God..
